The Wodonga CBD Bike Hub enhances the streetscape while providing a dedicated space for the growing cycling community.

Featuring a stainless steel handrail and wire rope partition, the project overcame multi-level challenges through precision engineering, ensuring a seamless, durable, and visually striking addition to the urban landscape.

Located in the heart of Wodonga’s CBD, the new Bike Hub facility was designed to enhance the streetscape and cater to the growing cycling community. Constructed by quality local builders, Binding Building, the project required a stainless steel handrail and a wire rope partition to separate the facility from the adjacent carpark.

With a design concept provided by Wodonga City Council, we were tasked with bringing it to life while ensuring compliance with Australian standards and maintaining aesthetic appeal. The multi-level pathway, featuring ramps and varied elevations, posed a unique challenge.

However, by utilising high-precision laser measuring equipment and CAD-generated approval drawings, we were able to prefabricate sections off-site, reducing installation time and ensuring a flawless fit. Core-drilled posts with structural grout seamlessly integrated with the concrete walkways, creating a durable and visually cohesive finish.

Through meticulous planning and an organised building site, we delivered the project on time and within budget, successfully transforming the concept into a functional and striking addition to Wodonga’s urban landscape.
