Bespoke Design
We specialise in bespoke designs tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, offering a unique blend of functionality, aesthetics, and personalisation.
Aesthetic Appeal
Stainless steel has become a hallmark of modern design, celebrated for its aesthetic appeal as much as its durability. Its sleek, reflective surface brings a contemporary edge to both architecture and interior design, creating an atmosphere of sophistication and cleanliness.
Functionality and Efficiency
Our focus is on creating kitchen and bar solutions that prioritise functionality and efficiency, optimising workflow and performance in commercial food service environments.
Ergonomic & Sustainable
Stainless steel offers the perfect balance of design and sustainability, making it a preferred material across many applications, from kitchens to industrial settings. Its durability and easy maintenance make it efficient and eco-friendly.
Standard
Only the highest quality steel is used in our projects
304 grade stainless steel
We use 304 grade stainless steel as it has excellent corrosion resistance, durability and hygienic properties. Its non-porous surface facilitates easy cleaning for food safety, and its ability to withstand high temperatures makes it ideal for countertops, sinks, and kitchen equipment.
Australian standard 4674-2004 construction
This standard aims to minimise contamination risks and maintain clean and safe environments in commercial kitchens and food handling facilities. Key areas covered include flooring, walls, ceilings, fixtures, fittings, ventilation, and waste management.

Commonly Asked Questions
In most general applications, 304 stainless steel is a suitable and cost-effective option. However, 316 stainless steel offers superior corrosion resistance, particularly in environments with chlorides like saltwater, and is generally considered better for more demanding applications.
304 Stainless Steel:
- Advantages: More affordable, good general corrosion resistance, and readily available.
- Disadvantages: Not as resistant to chlorides (saltwater) as 316, may not be suitable for heavily corrosive environments.
- Applications: Kitchen benchtops and appliances, commercial kitchen wall sheeting, food processing equipment, piping, indoor applications.
316 Stainless Steel:
- Advantages: Excellent resistance to chlorides and other corrosive agents, ideal for marine environments and harsh chemical processing.
- Disadvantages: More expensive than 304, may have slightly reduced machinability and formability compared to 304.
- Applications: Medical equipment, chemical processing equipment, coastal structures, food and beverage processing.
Key Differences:
- Chemical Composition: 316 contains molybdenum, while 304 does not. Molybdenum enhances corrosion resistance, particularly against chlorides.
- Cost: 316 is generally more expensive due to the added molybdenum.
- Formability/Machinability: 316 may be slightly less formable and machinable than 304.
In summary:
If your application requires high corrosion resistance in chloride-rich environments (like saltwater or industrial chemicals), 316 is the better choice. If cost is a major concern and the environment is not highly corrosive, 304 is suitable.
Stainless steel (SS) comes in a wide range of thicknesses, typically from 0.4mm to 3mm for sheet, with plate going up to 150mm.
Elaboration:
- Sheet vs. Plate:
Sheets are generally thinner (0.4mm to 3mm) while plate is thicker (over 3mm). - Common Sheet Thicknesses:
Popular thicknesses for stainless steel sheets include 0.55mm, 0.7mm, 0.9mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, and 3.0mm. - Plate Thicknesses:
Stainless steel plate can be quite thick, with examples including 5.0mm, 6.0mm, 8.0mm, 10.0mm, 12.0mm, 16.0mm, and 20.0mm.
Standard Thickness Examples:
- SS benchtops: 1.5mm
- SS undershelves: 1.2mm
- SS wall sheeting (light duty): 0.9mm
- SS wall sheeting (heavy duty/high heat): 1.2mm
Stainless steel (SS) is renowned for its exceptional durability. Thanks to its high chromium content, it is resistant to rust and corrosion. As a low-maintenance material, SS is highly tough and offers excellent impact resistance.
One of its key strengths is its low susceptibility to brittleness, even at both high and low temperatures. This ensures that stainless steel maintains its performance in a wide range of conditions.
With a lifespan of over 50 years, stainless steel retains its structural integrity, making it a long-lasting and reliable choice for various applications.
Stainless steel is a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material, but it’s not entirely scratch-proof. Scratches can occur, especially on polished or brushed finishes, from contact with abrasive materials or sharp objects.
The good news is:
- Most scratches are superficial and do not affect performance or corrosion resistance.
- Light surface marks can often be reduced or removed with polishing or refinishing.
- Many people appreciate the natural patina stainless steel develops over time—it adds character and a timeless, lived-in look.
With regular care and proper maintenance, your stainless steel will continue to look clean, modern, and professional for years to come.
Cleaning stainless steel is simple and helps maintain its sleek, polished look. Here’s how to keep it looking its best:
For regular cleaning:
- Use a soft microfibre cloth or sponge with warm water and a mild detergent.
- Wipe in the direction of the grain to avoid streaking.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft microfibre towel to prevent water spots.
For tougher marks or fingerprints:
- Use a small amount of isopropyl alcohol on a soft microfibre cloth to remove fingerprints and smudges.
- For added shine, apply a stainless steel cleaner or polish that’s suitable for your surface finish.
Avoid:
- Abrasive pads, steel wool, or harsh cleaners that can scratch or dull the surface.
- Chlorine-based products, which can cause damage or discoloration.
With routine care, your stainless steel surface will remain bright, hygienic, and corrosion-resistant for years to come.
